Where to try them

Time to try.

A spirit is never a description. It is a glass, a table, and the ten minutes after the first pour. This is how we suggest you spend them.

The pour

Four expressions, four ways to be served.

  • 01

    Dawn

    Montreux Dry Gin

A measure of Dawn, cold tonic poured down the side, one large cube and a twist of lemon peel. The first sip should taste of the hour before the sun clears the peaks.

Pine resin · Lemon peel · Cold air

  • 02

    Dusk

    Montreux Botanical Gin

Neat over one clear cube, or with a little cold tonic and a strip of orange. It opens as it warms, the way an evening does.

Cardamom · LEMONGRASS · WARM SUNSETS

  • 03

    Negroni

    Swiss Crafted Cocktail

Stirred, never shaken, over one large cube in a low glass, with orange pressed over the top. The night before is the right time to have made it.

Bitter orange · Sweet vermouth · Herbal bite

  • 04

    Vodka

    Swiss Clarified Vodka

Straight from the cold, in a small glass, with nothing beside it but the plate.

Sweet milk · Alpine spring · Silken finish

The rooms

Where a bottle can be opened.

A pour is asked for where the bottle is kept. These are the first addresses in Montreux, and the list grows one room at a time.

  • 01

    Funky Claude's Bar

    Bar · Montreux

Where the night arrives late and stays. A pour between dances.

  • 02

    Suisse Majestic

    Hotel · Montreux

A hotel where the evening has no particular hurry and the lake is outside.

  • 03

    CouCou

    Restaurant · Montreux

A table that takes the bottle seriously; the pour arrives with the menu.

  • 04

    La Villa

    Hotel · Montreux

A house of rooms, where a bottle opens slowly and no one rushes the table.

  • 05

    CocoMama

    Restaurant · Montreux

Water below, music above, and a glass that stays half full for hours.

  • 06

    Riviera Café

    Café · Montreux

A stop on the promenade. A pour before the walk continues.

  • 07

    La Rouvenaz

    Restaurant · Montreux

Above the town, where the view asks you to order another round.

  • 08

    Mona Montreux

    Bar · Montreux

A late address, where the last pour of the night is the one that matters.

The rooms above are the house's first accounts, pending confirmation.
